Holy Spirit

I would like to share a little testimony with you. Tonight after I got off work I went to the gym to do some cardio and lift some weights. When I walked in I seen a friend of mine that I haven’t seen for quite a spell. She said hello and I said hello. I asked her how life has been treating her and her face just drew a blank. Immediately I thought I said something wrong. So I asked the Lord to give me the words he wants me to speak to her.

We began to talk and her phone rang so she had to answer it, could have been a client or something of the sort. I waved at her and went to begin my work-out. I started out doing a little running then my buddy showed up. He jumped in and an hour later we were finished with the training. I felt so good, truly refreshed.

Now here’s the cool part, as we were walking down the stairs she was waiting behind the desk. I said thank you, and she said let’s finish our conversation. I said sure, I have a few minutes. She began by saying she has been sick four times in the last month. I could tell by looking at her that something was going on. Being the man who I am I immediately offered to pray for her and she said thank you.

She couldn’t understand why all this sickness was going on in her life. I began to explain to her that we are healed by his stripes. Then I went on to say that the Lord loves you and he just wants you to trust in him with everything that you have. She said I know these things, but it’s been over a year and it’s still happening to me. Then I said that healing is a process, it takes time, and you will be healed in his perfect time.

Out of nowhere a little girl came up and stood by her side. She must have been 8 or 9 years old. I kept speaking to her giving her scripture to help her understand. Like Mark 10:27– With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Philippians 4:13– I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 1 Corinthians 13:13– There are three things that will endure; faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love. Matthew 6:33– Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.

I knew the Holy Spirit was working because she and the little girl were listening closely. Then I looked down at the little girl by her side and it popped into my mind. Jesus wants us to come to him with child-like faith. Who is the greatest in the kingdom they asked and Jesus said children. The little girl began to smile so brightly, she lit up the room. From nowhere the little girl looked at her and said I hate math because I’m no good at it. Then she said one night I decided to pray about it and asked Jesus to help me and I got an A on my test. That put a smile on my friend’s face, she lit up. I said you see, even though we grow up and put childish things to the side, Jesus still wants us to come to him with child-like faith. Then I told her to look up Isaiah 55: 8-9. Then I said can I have my keys please, I need to go.

My friends, it was truly amazing the way the little girl chimed in at the perfect time. I could feel the burden being lifted as I watched the conversation transpire. I don’t have a clue who the little girl was, but I know they were close to one another. The courage and boldness the little one demonstrated was awesome, she stepped out in faith and allowed the Holy Spirit to lead her. Our God is an awesome God!

God bless you all and have a wonderful evening:)

Youth leader,

About spiritministries

I am a man who has learned not to rely on my own understanding the hard way. God revealed himself to me two and a half years before I got out of prison. It's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. There is truly only one way and that is to have a relationship with God. Since my release S.P.I.R.I.T Ministries has came to fruition. We meet every Wednesday night at 7p.m. God asked me to write a book, in 18 months I finished Rock Bottom; Inspired by God, He provided me with a web blog, thank you Andrew, as you can see, I am a motivational-inspirational speaker, and singer. We now have a band known as The Un-Scene, you can find the link on my web site and check it out on face book. I am just a man who was given true life while in prison, freedom, salvation, and unspeakable joy by the grace of God. We go many places to speak and sing for the glory of God. I just want to share what God has done in my life that you may have the opportunity to experience the same joy He gave me. I give God all the glory for everything in my life for I couldn't accomplish anything a part from Him. If ye shall know the truth, the truth shall set you free, John 8:32. If you would like to hear us just contact me and God willing we will remain obedient. God bless you all.

  1. THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN! BY STEVE FINNELL

    What is the unforgivable sin?
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin.
How is the unpardonable sin committed?

THE EXAMPLE OF THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN!

Mark 3:22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He cast out the demons by the ruler of the demons.”
Mark 3:28-30 “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—30 because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

These scribes were committing BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT because they said Jesus was casting out demons by the power of an unclean spirit, when in fact it was by the power of THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is proclaiming that Jesus was possessed by Satan and using Satan’s power; when in fact Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit.
