Testimony

It’s been about seventeen months since I’ve been out here in Marysville, KS. It’s been quite an adventure. Marysville is absolutely different from the town I moved from. Regardless, it’s important to be where the good Lord wants you to be. I know I’m right where he wants me. So I can say with out with great confidence that’s why everything is going so well.

Marysville is a small town of approximately 3,000 people. The closest big city is Lincoln, Nebraska and Manhattan, Kansas. If you feel the need to get out-of-town for a day or so these are nice places to travel to. Marysville is a warm inviting place to be. From my experience most people are really friendly unlike where I came from. Maybe it’s because it’s so family oriented. This is a great place to live if you want to raise a family, in fact I believe that’s why most people are here.

Now myself for example, I came here to do a job. It has been a really challenging experience. If I was going to raise a family I wouldn’t mind doing it here. There are many things to do and experience out here. There is a lot of nature to experience, there’s many lakes and rivers to explore, beautiful trails surrounded by wooded areas, ( great place for a tree house ), along with many other things.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity that I have been given out and up here, lol. I know the good Lord is shining on us. Sometimes I find myself asking myself what I am doing out here. I say this because I don’t get to see my family or my friends very much. Then I hear this small still voice saying, “And God causes all things to work together for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose”. Roman

God’s Grace

s 8:28. That gives me the confident assurance that my heart desires. We all need that no matter what we are doing in life.

So the other day I had a few minutes to kill so I called my old boss to see how retirement was treating him. I hadn’t talked to him for quite some time. When I heard him on the end of the line it was like going back in time, just like the good old days never came to an end. He asked me how work was going so I told him that we have been fighting the rain, it’s hard to put the highway down in the middle of a down pour. He said he wished he had that problem, and that they were in serious need for some moisture to help the crops out.

So what he told me next was really awesome, so glad he shared it with me. He said he and his four-year old son was outside the other night and he was telling Logan how bad they were needing rain. Then he said little Logan closed his eyes and said God, would you please give us some rain. You could hear the joy in Mike’s laughter while he was telling this to me. Then he said about ten minutes later the clouds rolled in and the rain began. He said all he could do is laugh. That’s pretty awesome, God is so good. I don’t know about you but I needed to hear that testimony.

I love hearing how God is working in the lives of other people, and I love to see what he is doing right where I’m at. I have a great feeling that he is about to blow me away once again. You just never know what he has in store for us.

Well my friends, until next time, pleas pray for my girl in Texas, and pray for Emily and my daughter in Australia. God bless you all.

Michael,

About spiritministries

I am a man who has learned not to rely on my own understanding the hard way. God revealed himself to me two and a half years before I got out of prison. It's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. There is truly only one way and that is to have a relationship with God. Since my release S.P.I.R.I.T Ministries has came to fruition. We meet every Wednesday night at 7p.m. God asked me to write a book, in 18 months I finished Rock Bottom; Inspired by God, He provided me with a web blog, thank you Andrew, as you can see, I am a motivational-inspirational speaker, and singer. We now have a band known as The Un-Scene, you can find the link on my web site and check it out on face book. I am just a man who was given true life while in prison, freedom, salvation, and unspeakable joy by the grace of God. We go many places to speak and sing for the glory of God. I just want to share what God has done in my life that you may have the opportunity to experience the same joy He gave me. I give God all the glory for everything in my life for I couldn't accomplish anything a part from Him. If ye shall know the truth, the truth shall set you free, John 8:32. If you would like to hear us just contact me and God willing we will remain obedient. God bless you all.

Feel free to ask God to send the rain here to Arizona and better yet to all the places that are experiencing drought and wildfires currently. I am praying for the rain as are many. But God is good and His promise is non failing.

Small towns are incredible places at times unless you are a bored teen. I was born in Philly and spent most of my life in bigger seaboard towns because my daddy was a career Navy man. When I was in 5th grade he got transferred to shore duty in Rochester, NY but he was missing small town life (he was born and raised in Clarksburg, WVA. as a small town but now home to some goverment (FBI or CIA database). Anyhow, he decided to buy a couple of acres of land in a location that was 30 miles from anything including a gas station. Our nearest neighbor was 5 miles away and it was very, very cold -10 or more in the winter. I cried for months. So, then he got transferred back to the ocean and that is where he died at. We brought him back to the place in NY that he fell in love with and wanted to retire to and because we lived in military housing we had to move back to NY as well. I was still in high school and my graduating class in a public school was 38 people. The year before I was in a class of 400. So, I get the small town stuff. I love to visit there because the small towns are often the best places to see. They are some of the best places.
