I would like to share with you out of Matthew once again. What are we building our faith upon is the question. Are we building it on our own wisdom and knowledge because we feel that it is better? Or are we building it on the chief cornerstone of our faith Jesus Christ. I hope our answer is chief cornerstone:) However, I do know that there are people out there who think they know better than the one who created them. Oh how I feel for them, it doesn’t make any sense to me. I don’t want to feel the way I do for them, yet I can’t help it because of the heart the good Lord gave me.
This is what it says in Matthew 7: 24-29. Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds heal against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority-quite unlike their teachers of religious law. Can you possibly imagine this? And that’s why the word says; But the gateway to life is very narrow and the rod is difficult, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:14.
Thank you Lord for being faithful. God bless you all.
