This is an honest question my friends, I remember the first time I heard it. Our answer should be first. I can not speak for you, however I can say that He is first in my life without doubt. Our attitudes should reflect the beauty of a God centered life. We need to speak to God in a greater capacity because we are His masterpiece whom He delights in.
We not only need to believe, but we need to let it be known that we are extraordinary and very special in the eyes of our heavenly Father. We need to proclaim that we are not average individuals, that we know we are something great in God’s eyes. We are one of a kind my friends. When it comes to God’s creation, He is most proud of us, we are His masterpiece, and His most prized possession. We are to keep our heads held high knowing that we are children of the Most High God, and made in His very image. Proclaim it loud and clear for He loves us that much.
Please, allow me to share this with you about self-worth if you will. Psychologist often say that our self-worth is based on what the most important people in our lives think of us. That person could be a parent, a friend, a mentor, or a teacher. I see one problem with this philosophical approach my friends. People can disappoint us. They can say hurtful and shameful things to us, they can break a promise, and they can bring us down.
Matthew 6:33 says; Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. If we receive our value only from those who are close to us, then we will feel less valuable over time. Sooner or later they will tear your heart out, or even show by their actions that we’re not important at all. Now be encouraged, if you are experiencing this right now this is for you.
The key to understanding and maintaining the great sense of value that we all deserve is by allowing your heavenly Father be the most important person in your life. For only He can bring about this balance in His children. Regardless, even a child of God can suffer from this type of experience. It is this simple my friends, base your value only on what God says about you. Do not listen to the adversary when he speaks to you, simply rebuke his words.
Truth be told, we all make mistakes in this journey for we are all human, born sinners. No man nor woman is exempt from the falling of man. When we make a mistake, God says, “I have mercy for every mistake that you make, I love you my child.” I encourage you to get up and go again, for your future with God is far brighter than your past. Hallelujah! We are all amazing, beautiful, and one of a kind because that is how He created us.
I grew up in an abusive environment and I listened to all those negative things people said to me. One day if you will, I experienced a great revelation from God. He said, “Michael, you are accepted, approved, redeemed, forgiven, confident, and secure.” Now believe it and live it kid. This is something we all need to know, and when we do we will feel extremely valuable and that’s exactly how God wants you to be.
Ephesians 2:10 says; “You are God’s masterpiece.” Think about it my friends, do you realize that a masterpiece is not mass-produced? Not one of us came off an assembly line, not one of us is average, not one of us is ordinary. However, all of us have been custom-made. We my friends are one of a kind. For He created all of us in His own image. He looks past all those other things and He looks right at us and says, “There’s my masterpiece. That’s my son, that’s my daughter, and that’s what brings most joy to my heart. Have a wonderful day!
