When it comes to our lives we must be prepared to make responsible decisions. Behind every decision is a consequence. Before we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we are living in the flesh. There will come a time when one will venture out for something greater. What a wonderful day that will be. When that day happens, we must prepare our minds for the victory in Jesus.
1 Peter 1:13 says; Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope full on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. There are three things that will endure in this world, hope being one of them. Therefore we must cling to the Father and His Holy Name in all things.
When we are born, we come into the world physically alive, yet dead in spirit. We have neither the presence of God, nor the knowledge of His will. The truth is, our mind is made that we live independently apart from God. We are mentally conformed to this world. Even when we accept Jesus and become Christians, God doesn’t push the erase button in our preprogrammed minds. Even as Christians, being human our minds can still be influenced by this world.
What can we do? Trust in the Inspired Word of God. Romans 12:2 says; “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind”. How does one renew their mind? Simply by reading and meditating on the Word of God. Then we must prepare as it says in 1 Peter 1:13. So we must prepare ourselves in advance to obey the truth and follow through with it. Remember, the battle is spiritual and we are equipped with free will. Thank you God. Have a wonderful day friends!
