When we proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we inherit a responsibility that we didn’t have before. As we walk with the Lord, we must emulate Him, to be like Him. I know this is the hardest, yet most challenging thing I have ever done in my life. When we say we are with the Lord, then our actions must reveal His character in all things. This includes what many lack, true peace.
John 20:19 says; On the evening of the first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” This statement brings joy to my heart friends, the word teaches us that we should on fear God. When we fear only God the inner peace that we have is revealed, and our trust is obvious to all who see.
Trust me in the depths of your being. It is there that I live in constant communion with you. When you feel flustered and frazzled on the outside, do no get upset with yourself. You are only human, and the swirl of events going on all around you will sometimes feel overwhelming. The greatest thing that we can do in a situation like this is to pray, and pray earnestly right then and there. You will be amazed in the difference it will make in your life.
Rather than scolding yourself for your humanness, remind yourself that I am both with you and within you. I am with you at all times says the Lord, encouraging and supportive rather than condemning. I know that deep within you, where I live, My peace is your continual experience. Slow down your pace of living for a time. Quiet your mind in My Presence. Psalms 46:10 says; Be still and know that I am God. Then you will be able to hear me bestowing the resurrection blessing: Peace be with you my friends, talk to Him. Cry out to Him, trust Him, and believe Him. Have a wonderful day!
