What does it mean to be obedient? It means to do what you are told to do. When the Lord speaks into our lives, as Christians we are to take action through our faith trusting in God. The Lord rewards those who seek Him diligently in all things. You may say to yourself, “God, I am not able to do as you are commanding, I do not have the ability to do this.” However, I am here to say that God knows what we can do before we do.

1 Peter 1:14 says; As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. This is what the Lord commands of us as when we proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives.

The kingdom of darkness is Satan himself, with him we have to be extremely careful in all things. Satan and his helpers are truly crafty in the art of deception. Satan even knows the Word of God greater than most of God’s children. So no matter the fount you are drinking from, check the teaching of the word yourself. Put on the full armor of God for we are soldiers of Christ, Jesus.

This is how Joyce Meyers describes it. The kingdom of darkness has no power over Jesus. Why? Because He was radically obedient. As human being we are not perfect, but we do need to do the very best we can to obey God in all things. The rewards of obedience are wonderful, but the rewards of sin are oppressive and bring every kind of misery. I stand in agreement with Joyce, the power of God is greater than anything known to man.

So if we have any unknown disobedience in our lives, we must admit it, ask God to forgive us, and start today obeying God. Everything He asks us to do is for our good, so why must we delay? Solomon writes int he end of Ecclesiastes, “The full duty of man is to obey God.” He had tried to live his own way and still be happy but found nothing that worked except following God fully.

The wise will learn from Solomon’s mistakes hopefully. Obedience proves our love for God and empowers us to enjoy authority over the enemy. For we, as children of God have authority over all evil, we need to exercise this God-given authority on a daily basis and remain obedient to His commands. Blessed be the name of the Lord, so sweet, for He gives us joy unspeakable. Have a wonderful day!

About spiritministries

I am a man who has learned not to rely on my own understanding the hard way. God revealed himself to me two and a half years before I got out of prison. It's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. There is truly only one way and that is to have a relationship with God. Since my release S.P.I.R.I.T Ministries has came to fruition. We meet every Wednesday night at 7p.m. God asked me to write a book, in 18 months I finished Rock Bottom; Inspired by God, He provided me with a web blog, thank you Andrew, as you can see, I am a motivational-inspirational speaker, and singer. We now have a band known as The Un-Scene, you can find the link on my web site and check it out on face book. I am just a man who was given true life while in prison, freedom, salvation, and unspeakable joy by the grace of God. We go many places to speak and sing for the glory of God. I just want to share what God has done in my life that you may have the opportunity to experience the same joy He gave me. I give God all the glory for everything in my life for I couldn't accomplish anything a part from Him. If ye shall know the truth, the truth shall set you free, John 8:32. If you would like to hear us just contact me and God willing we will remain obedient. God bless you all.
