My Last Word

At this point in time all I can do is thank God for what He has done in my life. Believe it or not He has led me to share the words of my brother David that is doing life in prison. It you were to ask me WHY? I would say for the glory of God. Today is no different from yesterday, I would like to share out of Romans 3. Think about it, if you were standing before the almighty God, what would your last words be?

Romans 3: 9-18 says; What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin. As it is written “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”, “The poison of asps is under their lips”, “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

The message that Paul is conveying here is essential to all, not one is exempt. Meaning, all sin is the end product of not fearing God. All of the sins that Paul lists have their source of rebellious attitude that will not honor God as God. Why was the attitude demonstrated this way? Because many of Paul’s opponents took the Word out of context claiming that the Apostle’s teaching on grace amounted to saying, “I’m saved anyway, so I might as well sin. God’s grace will take care of it.” This demonstrates a cognitive distortion, perversion of God’s word and that is why Paul was quick to condemn this distortion of grace.

Romans 3: 19-20 says; Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

What was Paul saying here? He was saying God gave His people the so they could understand their need for grace, not so that they could try to “earn” their way into His favor. The law shows us our sin, it doesn’t empower us to follow it.

Romans 3:23 says; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Meaning, Jesus alone, among all the billions of human beings ever born on this planet, lived His entire life by the power of the Spirit, always doing His Father’s will and never committing a single sin. See John 8:46 and Hebrews 4:15. It is being justified freely by the Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God sent forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed. Praise God!

I do not believe it would be wrong of me to say, “As I share these words my brother David wrote, please slip his boots on and open your mind to your circumstances. The reason I say this is because I don’t want you to miss out on an opportunity to grow in your faith, I don’t want you to miss out on an opportunity of a major breakthrough, and I don’t want you to miss out on a blessing from the One True Living God.

MY LAST WORD

As I stood there to be sentenced, dismal thoughts clouded my mind,

Dear Lord Heavenly Father, I’m calling on you for I have sinned, and

I’m asking for your forgiveness, Lord I give my life so baptize me now in your Holy Spirit.

As I lay all of my burdens down at the foot of your Holy throne, I stand before you

convicted, and accused of all my wrongs… So now stop, are you listening,

can you hear that small still voice, And whether you know it or not,

we’ve all got a choice…

Now you can choose to do the right thing and follow what’cha feel in your heart,

Or you can be like everybody else, a slave to sin and a master of the dark…

Because there is a price that will be paid, for all that we’ve said and done,

And no matter how we sum it up, we shouldn’t just take the money and run…

Because life is simply too short, and all the glitters, we know is not gold,

And truly there is no future, in being about what’cha being told…

Cause if we must know, then we must seek allowing our spirit to be our guide,

Learn to roll with the punches, stand tall and relinquish self-pride…

Accept that which you cannot change, and to receive respect you must give,

Don’t keep biting off more than you can chew, cause you only got one life to live…

And constantly as the world turns, all my children will be in dire need,

Of much more than just a bit of advice, rather yet, the ambition to succeed…

Shall and always will become, one of the many attributes, that will be inherited,

And for those that seek you will surely find that true wisdom without question is

imperative…

But I had finally cashed in my chips, and felt in my heart that I was hell bound,

Because I was guilty as charged and convicted, as the verdict was read and sentence

handed down!

Thank you Father God for your Son Jesus Christ who shed His blood on the cross for all our sins. Father, I come before you with a repentant heart asking for your forgiveness. Lord I pray that the words you have given me this day will bring understanding and encouragement to those who read them. Father, I pray that you continue to protect, provide for, and shower your wonderful blessings on all of your children Father God. Thank you for all that you have given me, for that I am so grateful because I remember my last words in my darkest moment. Thank you so much for using me the way you do and for all who believe in me, encourage me, and inspire me to do what I do. Father, this is the last thing I ever thought I would do. I lift my hands up to you O’ God, for you are my everlasting love. I pray in the name of your wonderful Son Jesus Christ, Amen!

About spiritministries

I am a man who has learned not to rely on my own understanding the hard way. God revealed himself to me two and a half years before I got out of prison. It's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. There is truly only one way and that is to have a relationship with God. Since my release S.P.I.R.I.T Ministries has came to fruition. We meet every Wednesday night at 7p.m. God asked me to write a book, in 18 months I finished Rock Bottom; Inspired by God, He provided me with a web blog, thank you Andrew, as you can see, I am a motivational-inspirational speaker, and singer. We now have a band known as The Un-Scene, you can find the link on my web site and check it out on face book. I am just a man who was given true life while in prison, freedom, salvation, and unspeakable joy by the grace of God. We go many places to speak and sing for the glory of God. I just want to share what God has done in my life that you may have the opportunity to experience the same joy He gave me. I give God all the glory for everything in my life for I couldn't accomplish anything a part from Him. If ye shall know the truth, the truth shall set you free, John 8:32. If you would like to hear us just contact me and God willing we will remain obedient. God bless you all.
