What a beautiful day outside today. Not to hot and not to cold. First thing I heard was the chirping of the birds outside the patio doors. I just sat there and watched them for a few minutes while noticing they were just doing what they were created to do. They have no worries in this existence. God provides all things for them each and every day. They just don’t have the ability to question God and His great provision as us humans do. He gave us the exact gift that keeps us away from Him. It’s called the ability to reason, when we have the ability to reason we can actually doubt God’s promises. So I encourage you to watch the birds and gather what you can about them and implement it into your life. Forget about wants and focus on needs. You will see that God is always just and faithful in our lives. He blesses those who seek Him diligently.
A friend of mine sent this devotion to me this morning and I would like to share it with all. I have been crucified with Christ; it is not I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by FAITH in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20. Devotion from God’s Best For My Life: The Christian life begins with crucifixion-our own. Becoming a Christian means a surrender of our life to Christ. We die to our own rights, control of our life, and plans for our future. We will to be willing to receive, do, go, stay, speak, and serve as He wills. Christ then comes to live within us to express His loving mercy for others through us. The cross becomes the basis for our relationships. Our time, energy, resources, and skill are put at Christ’s disposal for others. We forgive because we have been forgiven. We find our new purpose in discovering ways of relating the problems of people to the power of God. Because we have died to self, we have nothing to lose and everything to give. Hallelujah! Have a wonderful day.
