The story of the Good Samaritan teaches that true love for God expressitself in caring for others’ needs. In Jesus’ day the Jews and Samaritans hated each other. So when the despised Samaritan proved to be the good neighbor to the wounded Jew, Jesus was showing that concern for others has no boundaries. When God has brought us healing by grace, we become an effective instrument in reaching others with similar needs. Sharing the Good news of our deliverance is a responsibility we receive from God. When we share, we experience great joy as others gain hope. Our own faith is strengthened as well. Luke 10:27 says; The man answered, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “Jesus went on to say, “Do this and you will live!” Measure your love. Have a wonderful day!
