Let me ask you this ? Are you an investor of this world, life eternal, or the souls of men? “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:15. A thousand years from now, some of the things that you think are so important are not going to matter-your meticulously groomed lawn, who won the Super Bowl, your date for the Senior Prom, or the type of car that you drive. There is nothing wrong with these things, but I want to ask you: What is there about your life that is going to remain when the mountains have crumbled? When the stars have fallen from their sockets? Wood, hay, and stubble are going to go up in flames. But if your work abideth upon what God has built you will receive a reward. So I encourage you, more than that may I exhort you, spend your time, your talents, and your treasures in those things that matter to God.
