I’m sure you’ve noticed that some people have a great amount of faith, while others have weak faith, and some have no faith at all. You may wonder if God is unfair. Absolutely not, God is no respecter of persons (2 Chronicles 19:7). He has given to every person a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). So what is faith? Let me tell you what it isn’t. Faith is not positive thinking, optimism, or a feeling that you can do something. Nor is it a hunch. Faith is getting a word from God and embracing it if you will. When you receive a word from God and believe that word, it is belief. But, when you embrace it (to act upon), that is faith. In modern-day vernacular, faith is belief with legs on it. This is the day that you must put your foot of faith upon the promises of God and say, “That promise is mine!” Have a wonderful day!
