Have you ever known anyone who is going through a struggle in their life and they say I don’t understand why God is punishing me like this. I have heard this so many times and the Lord has put it on my heart to bring some light to the situation.
Many people get excited and are quick to thank God for all of the good things that happen in their life, but when a storm comes their way they are quick to blame him. They say things like I’ve been doing the best that I can, I don’t understand why he would do this. The answer is because you are doing the best you can and he is adding to your spiritual character.
It is important to know that when God created us he created us to be dependent on one another and not independent from one another. The Bible says, We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us-they help us learn to endure. And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation. And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5. God is a God of giving, he will help you walk through the storm if you ask him, however, it is not for your benefit, it is for the benefit of others and for his Glory alone! He is adding the fruits of the Spirit to you that you may share them with someone who is going through a similar storm that you did. You never know, when the storm is over in your life you may be walking downtown one day when some person wanders up to you and just starts pouring their heart out to you. Suddenly you realize that not to long ago you went through the same thing. This is God giving you the opportunity to help that person in their time of need. I encourage you to help them the best you can because if you weren’t ready the Lord wouldn’t of put them in your path. You will have the opportunity to tell them about the Lord and to be a blessing in their life. That is awesome my friends. Because, And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28. You will be a blessing in their life, and God will bless you for your kind act of obedience and faith. Now that’s a Praise God!
So I encourage to stand strong in your faith and when a storm comes your way draw closer to God and he will bless you and give you the understanding that your heart desires each and everytime. Only thing that you are required to do is ask, when you ask him, you shall receive because he first loved you.
God bless you all and have a wonderful weekend.
