What is the greatest thing we can do to build our reputation in a good way? That is correct. We can pray about it. We can ask God to give us the ability to act the same way in private as we do in front of others.
The Scripture says, Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24.
Sometimes we may think that what we do in our personal life does not matter as long as we perform well on the job or look good in public. However, it is imperative to know that we do not make the distinction between the way we should act in public or private. We should know that we will develop a good reputation when we display the same Godly integrity alone as we do in front of others. What is truly important in not what others think of us, but what the Lord thinks. We shoul want to develop the strong character God wants us to have, with characteristics that reflect him-justice, righteousness, integrity, mercy, honesty, fairness, and faithfulness. Lord, give us the character to be a person of integrity at all times, not just when others are watching. When you do this, then will you truly understand what it means to walk with the Lord.
I not only encourage you, I challenge you to take the risk when it comes to building a good reputation. Do not worry about what others think, always keep in mind that it is what the Lord thinks. When we do this he will surely reward you for expressing where your allegiance truly lyes. Praise God!
I would like to share an example with you. Today at church a friend and his family showed up. It was a blessing. He came to church with us awhile back and hasn’t been back since until today. Today was truly awesome. After the service was over he approached the Pastor and told him that he had a dream. He explained it to him and said he puts it in God’s hands, will you pray for me. The Pastor said yes. I commend this young man for his great act of faith, he truly stepped out of the boat. I know in my heart that God will bring his dream to reality, he is the only one who can.
God bless you all and have a wonderful week.
