What does it mean to feel God’s presence in our life? After accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you are to live a certain way to the best of your ability. God comes first in your life, you are to walk by faith and not by sight, you are to forgive others for their tresspasses as you want the Lord to forgive you, you are to confess your sin, and you are to repent.
When you do all of these things you will know God more intimately. When the Lord speaks to you it is for a reason, a purpose, and he knows what you need before you do. This is where the trust part of faith comes in. How deep is your trust rooted in the rock? I hope it is planted deeply. When he speaks I encourage you to be obedient to his command for you will be blessed. However, when the Lord speaks and you do not act upon what he commands you will not feel his presence in your life. Why? Because you have to take action, yes, you have to do your part. You have to meet him halfway and set it in motion. This is a great act of faith. When you do as he commands whithout question this shows no doubt. You know where your true treasures lie.
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what hope for is going to happen, it is the evidense of things not yet seen. Hebrews 11:1. Look what faith did in Noah’s life when God told him to build the Ark, what about the Israelites when God parted the Red Sea, and Meshak, Shadrach, and Abednego when they were thrown in the furnace. God delivered them for their faith. That is awesome my friends and he is still doing it today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That is the truth.
You have to take a risk, you have to step out in faith when the Lord speaks, many times he is bringing a part of your dream together. Simply saying that he obviously heard your prayer. So I challenge you this day, when God speaks to you take that risk, what do you have to lose? I guarantee you when you discipline yourself to act upon his word you will feel his presence in your life-like a mighty rushing wind.
God bless you all.
