Philippians 1:6– I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. When you live a Christian lifestyle this is how we are suppose to be. You may be living your life and walking with him the entire time and not even be aware of what he is doing. However, I promise you this, he is preparing you for something right then and there, you just don’t see it.
God works in our lives many different ways. I just thank him for not wasting nothing, but using everything to further his good purpose. Take David for example, I mean seriously, his first job was a shepherd boy. Who would of thought this would be grooming for a future king. Think of the shepherds role out there in the hills tending to the sheep. One must be lowly, gentle, and have great compassion along with wisdom to stay on top of his duties. The duties he learned served him well on the throne, he ruled not as a tyrant but as a shepherd.
So when you think of a shepherd boy as compared to a king, who would of ever thought. This is the great plan working in the life of someone who is faithful and obedient to God. God blessed David beyond his imagination for his loyal service.
I thank God that he can use me too in whatever situation that I find myself and that he will use my current circumstances to prepare me for future service. Sometimes I don’t feel that my job, activities, or circumstances right now how any significance, so please Lord help me remember that you are preparing me for service later. I am humble Lord, and I need your help to remind me to make the most of where you have put me right now. Allow my service for the present become a time of preparation for the future that you have planned for me.
I know this sounds familiar to all. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:7. This is the day that the Lord has made, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it. Enjoy your days one day at a time, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has it’s own worries. Feel the peace in your heart, meditate on his word, and enjoy the Holy Spirit that resides in your heart and you will be blessed.
May the Lord continue to bless you in this manner. Ephesians 3:19. Look it up and see what he has in store for you.
