Inspired by; God
Welcome back to another issue of Spirit Ministries Newsletter. It has been a while since I have written anything in this area. I would like to share with you the reason behind it. The Lord has been speaking to me about Rock Bottom, the book that he put on my heart. I have felt inspired and motivated to complete it. All I can say now is that it’s a finished story. I thank God and I thank all of you who have been behind me since the beginning of this journey. I thank you all for believing in my ability to deliver this book. I hope and I pray that the Lord continues to lead and direct all of your paths. I pray that he continues to bestow his wonderful blessings upon each and everyone of you through all of your days. Hallelujah!
I was at work one day and a friend of mine walked up to me and said I have an opportunity for you. I said go ahead and share it. He said I would like for you to write in your newsletter what it means to be right with God, what we must do to be right with God as Christians, and what are the benefits with God. I prayed about this opportunity and all I can do is give you what the Lord has given me during my time with him. I am not an expert in this field by any means, I just try to do the best that I can. I give God all glory, he is the one who revealed to me that success is rooted in the will to perservere.
What does it mean to be right with God? Being right with God means that we have surrendered our will, that we no longer live for our own selfish desires. We have recognized that there is something greater other than self, and that is our creator, God. We have accepted his Son Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior because we now know that the blood he shed that day at Calvary was to atone for all of our sin. How do we know this? Because in his living Word he says when we repent we will be forgiven. So our allegiance to him is not only required, but coming before him with a repentant heart is also necessary. God knows all hearts so there is no pulling the wool over his eyes. You can not fake a genuine heart, so he knows when yours is a loving display, an illustration of divine sincerity. We are no longer citizens of the world, but citizens of the Kingdom of heaven. We walk in faith with our heads held high looking forward with confident assurance. What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen, it is the evidence of things not yet seen. Hebrews 11:1. It’s this simple my friends, to live for God is no sacrifice. As a Christian we earnestly seek his direction, the leading of the Holy Spirit for this is where true life comes from. When we follow his commands obediently without question we become a blessing to all of those who are around us, and we are blessed by our Father in heaven for being a willing, faithful, obedient servant for his glory.
What must we do to be right with God as Christians. We must understand what God’s grace truly encompasses. There is nothing comparable to God’s grace through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior. To know God’s grace is to know in your heart without doubt that you believe in his Word wholeheartedly. Why? Because it is the Holy Spirit that draws others closer to him. So if you display doubt in what you believe it gives others the ability to find doubt in what you are proclaiming to be true. It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes experience just like anything else in life. The best way to gain this type of understanding is by earnestly seeking the Lord with all you heart concerning everything you do. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
Furthermore, we must proclaim where our allegiance lies. If we know, then we shall express that he is the only “I am”, the Alpha, the Omeaga (Beginning and the End), the Omnipotent, the Omnipresent, the one and only true creator, the highest Counselor, the King of all Kings. Let me use myself as an example. I understand that God created me and that he is my Father in heaven. Because I was tired of living in darkness I accepted his Son Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I made an oath that day to serve him with all of my heart. I keep his word close in my heart and do the best I can to live as a good example to all of those around me. I share his wisdom with others when he gives me the opportunity, I share what he has done in my life when given the opportunity, and I do all my work unto him. I know in my heart that I am only a man, so I am no where near perfect by any means, but with his help I can strive to be the best man I can be. I can do all things through Christ, who gives me the strength I need. Philippians 4:13.
It is my duty as a Christian to walk in the light to the best of my ability. I must remain faithful, obedient, humble, and willing to go where ever he asks me to go. This is living in love. I must continue to seek him earnestly through all of my endeavors, I must listen for his voice at all times and do as he asks of me. I must be the best wittness and servant I can be for his glory alone, nothing of me. I know that all of my gifts are through him and not myself, and I must keep an open line of communication with him at all times. This is called prayer, if you do not humble yourself through prayer, he will not hear you. I can not allow my pride to get in the way of his plan for me. I must keep my head up and trust what he is doing because no one knows like he does what’s best for me. Pride leads to disgrace, while humility brings wisdom. Proverbs 11:2. It is truly imperative to know as a Christian believer that God and everything that he has to offer can not by any means be pushed on another person. You can not tell a person that they need God in their life, always put yourself in the other person’s shoes before you make a mistake. That’s why god is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is always there, unlike a person who may say they will be, but a person is not perfect. That’s why the Lord says ask and you shall receive. When you decide that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, just like myself, I reached out and asked the Lord to take my hand. He didn’t come to me and say Michael, you must take my hand now or else. When this happens to you, and I pray it doesn’t, know that it isn’t God.
This is the greatest I believe. Just to be able to look at another man or woman without judgement. It doesn’t matter who they are, what they have done, what they look like, or how they treat you. I know in my heart that God has no prejudice towards anyone, he is perfect in all ways and I strive for that everyday. Now I and you should know why this is the Golden rule. Treat others as you want to be treated. It’s that simple people, you only get what you give. Take a minute and try to wrap your mind around this, and this is for anyone who thinks that they are just so much better than the next man or woman, and for those who just don’t think that they are worthy of anything. I’m referring to God’s grace, the love that he has in store for all of those who accept it. If you know that God created the heavens and the earth and all things in it in six days, resting on the seventh as the Bible says in Genesis. Take man for example, God breathed life into us, he is the potter and we are the clay. I ask you this. What does a rich man and a poor man have in common? The answer, God created them both. When it rains does in not rain on the just and the unjust? It most certainly does, that is God friends. See, this is just an illustration of how God has no prejudice towards any man nor woman. His love is unconditional to all of his creation. Just know this, the next time you are in a position to where you may think in your own small mind that you are better than the next person or not worthy of the company of another person you will get what you give. Like any other seed, we reap what we sew, it’s that simple. Besides that, when you love another person, not matter how it was done, God will bless you for serving him.
What are the benefits? I believe the greatest benefit through our acceptance of God’s grace is ETERNAL LIFE. The greatest gift that he has given us is his Son Jesus Christ. Nothing can compare to this, and there is nothing you can possibly ask for that equals the Son. You no longer rely on your own understanding, you know in your heart that he is there to help you no matter what it is. You are now living in the Spirit as compared to the carnality of man’s own selfish desires. You are beginning to experience what life is truly about. The difference, if you cling to your life you shall surely lose it, only when you give your life will you truly experience what life is. You gain a great amount of wisdom which is worth far more than any amount of silver or gold. You will reap the benefits of encouragement, inspiration, strength, direction, etc. This is called the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22. You will be able to just be who you truly are, you don’t have to put your game face on symbolically speaking. You will be living in love and with love there is no conflict. I saved the second best for last. You will be released from your own personal prison, you experience true peace in your heart. I believe every person deserves to be just who they are, no pretending, just accept me for who I am. I will let you know this, God can give that to you if you just ask him. There are more and I hope I have built your curiosity to some extent so you will seek the other benefits out. They fall under all of these, the best place to find them, the Holy Bible.
I hope and I pray that the words God gave me in this newsletter bring some type of inspiration and encouragement to the hearts of those who read it. I give God all glory and I thank you Lord for this opportunity to share this with those who are willing to listen. Most of all I thank you for your Son Jesus Christ. I would like to let all of you know that my book Rock Bottom is complete. I entrusted my book to a woman and I got confirmation by God that it will be published. I am in awe friends, I really don’t know what to say except thank you Lord, thank you. Please pray for me concerning Rock Bottom.
