I hope you and I both want to see the potential that God sees in us. After reading the book of Judges I am amazed at how the Lord’s angel greeted Gideon by calling him “mighty hero.” Was he talking to the correct man? I know that Gideon was hiding from his enemies, the Midianites, and he saw himself as the least important person in his family. However, I believe we all have felt this way atleast once in our life.
When the Lord looked at Gideon, he saw a man who could rescue Israel. I wonder if the Lord looks at us the same way. The answer is absolutely. Praise God! I say this because I know that he wants you to reach our full potential, and he will encourage us the entire way. Ask yourself, am I a “mighty hero” of course you are according to the Lord, even though most of the time we look at ourselves as being weak. I ask you Lord to bring out the best in us! I thank you Lord for seeing more in me than I see in myself.
At times we look at our limitations, but you Lord, look at our great potential. You perceive in us what you created us to be. You encourage me to accept the greatness that I have in myself. I thankyou Lord for seeing what I can become and not being harsh to me for what I am. Honestly, you encourage me to rise to your expectations and become a person who models a giant faith. Hallelujah! Lord, may I aspire to reflect all you see in me.
The angel of the LORD came..Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!” Judges 6:11-12
