The Holy Spirit, what a wonderful choice to be led by. There are two natural choices that we are subjected to everyday. Our own sinful nature vs. the Holy Spirit. These two choices are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from conflict. It’s all up to you, which one you will submit to. By this time you should know that sin leads to death, and the Holy Spirit leads to love. So you can be consumed by the darkness, or you can stand tall in the light. I know that somewhere deep in the heart of all is a yearning to be set free. It’s just a matter of finding the courage to step up. I know this to be true because God created us all in his own image and gave us all we have. Truth, you can find this peace and freedom with God, he is the only way.
One of the greatest examples of what the Holy Spirit has to offer you can be found in the book of Galatians 5:22-But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.
I will tell you by experience that these qualities are produced by the Holy Spirits work in a life submitted to God. Just as a tree bears fuit in the silent works of nature, we experience these fruits of the Spirit by means of God’s power alone. It’s this simple my friends. When we entrust our life to God the Holy Spirit begins to bear this type of fruit in our life, therefore our dependency begins to lose its power over us. Joy and peace will give us the ability to get over our broken past and see that there is something greater for our futures. When we experience love, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness we begin to restore our relationships and make amends with those we have hurt. Patience gives us the ability to perservere through hard times, and self-control gives us the strength not to relapse. This is the absolute truth, God can provide us with everything necessary for a successful recovery. Hallelujah!
I pray that you all have a wonderful weekend. Go see someone you haven’t seen in a long time, surprise them. When you get there, pay attention to their Spirit. That is God. God bless you all.
