Lastnight after Corey and I finished our workout a friend of ours picked us up and we went out to brother Bill’s house for some fellowship and good food. It was a pretty good turn out and everyone enjoyed the company. Bill made some really good hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill. I think the baked beans were the best. We all got to to gather around and sing happy birthday to Pastor Clyde. That was a true blessing. You could really feel the presence of the Lord, the Spirit was alive.

I had the opportunity to talk to Pastor Clyde for a few minutes and what he told me really put me in awe. You see friends just last week the Lord spoke to me several times and he said Michael, you need to write a song. At first I was like Lord, I can’t write a song, I know nothing about music. I closed my eyes and just soaked it all in, then I remembered that God points these things out to us because he already knows what his children can do. That was that, it was official, I was going to write a song.

I was at work so I started singing whatever came to mind, however, it just wouldn’t flow together. I came home and told Liz what happened and she said why don’t you sit down and pray about it. Thank you Liz. I did exactly that, I opened my eyes and Be Still came alive. I grabbed a pen and the words naturally flowed to the paper, I couldn’t believe it. After I finished I began to sing it for the first time and it was just natural. Liz said she really liked it.

So last weekend at church I got to give a testimony about how God put this song on my heart and inspired me to write it. Then I got to sing it. I think everyone liked it because of the response at the end. Anyway it was a true blessing. Pastor Clyde spoke to me at the get together last night. He said he took my song home with him and his wife looked at it as well. He said Mike, I do believe that your song was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

He went on further to say that we need to get it recorded. Symbolically speaking, my jaw dropped to the ground. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing my friends. I said are you serious Clyde, he said yes, I will give John the heads up. John is a truly talented musician and he plays at our church. Then he said I need to get with him and talk to him as well. He also said that we could use all of the sound equipment at the church to do this. I was still in awe trying to understand the meaning behind this. Pator Clyde said ya Mike, you need this music so you will have it where ever you go to sing. I still can’t believe this. I am truly blessed and just beginning to grasp my musical gift that God gave me. God bless you Pastor.

It reminds me of this Scripture out of the book of Romans. And we know that God caused everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Roman 8:28). Through our faith and obedience God will lift you up higher than you can ever imagine. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7).

I thank God for all of you who have supported and encouraged me in all ways. I pray that the Lord will bless you beyond your understanding. I reall have no words to accurately to describe how my heart feels about this entire situation. I love you all and so does my God. God bless and have a beautiful day.
