Inspired bye; God
Welcome back to another issue of Spirit Ministries ladies and gentleman. It has been a great honor serving the Lord by sharing the experiences, the testimonies, and his living word as it is put on my heart. I thank God for everything he has done in my life, and I thank God for all of those who support this ministry, and believe in my ability to deliver these messages. I am in complete awe friends, this is the farthest thing from my mind I could ever see myself doing. Some of you knowing me before could probably say the same thing. Some may be saying how is it possible? I will answer that question for you, with God all things are possible. That is why he is the one and only, Alpha, and the Omega, the beginning and the end. There is nothing comparable friends, and that is why I pray that our Father in heaven continues to bless all of you beyond your imagination. I give God all Glory. Hallelujah!
The last newsletter was about giving all to God, I brought Philippians 4:12-13 to light hoping to illustrate what God can do when we just give it all to him. When we rely on our own strength we fall short, when we rely on God all things are possible. Essentially, when we place all of our burdens in the hands of the Lord you can rejoice for you know that he will make a way. That is beyond my understanding, however, just in the last three years I have realized that I am only a man in the flesh, God’s creation, not my own. So when we truly humble ourself before the Father, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and acknowledge that he was risen from the dead by God, and God alone, then we to can have that positive reassurance of Salvation. It’s God’s promise to all of us, therefore, I have no doubt that all things are possible with God.
I prayed, I asked the Lord what do I share next. I do this with everything in my life, it is hard sometimes, but as I endure through it, it becomes easier. The Lord said Faith and Endurance. A man asked me one day, Michael, how do you stay so calm and cool during times like this. I said faith brother, I believe in God and all of his promises for they are true. James 1:1-8-Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes you way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed you will be strong in character and ready for anything. If you need wisdom-if you want to know what God wants you to do-ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can’t make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.
So if you want to be closer to God, reach out for him. Ask him and he will tell you whatever it is you want to know. I do know this, not one of us have all of the answers, just like none of us have all the gifts we would like to have. However, it is important to know that whatever gift God did bless you with was given to you, and only you for a reason. It is up to you, and you alone to seek what is to be done with it. When you surrender to his will for your life, then and only then will you know. You can try it on your own, however, I believe you will find out the hard way that you won’t go very far on your own. I am speaking from experience not only in my own life, but others as well. All you have to do is look around you and you can see what is going on with people, it’s called struggle.
I would like to share this with you. When I started working at Fashion Inc. I met this young man named Corey. Corey is one of the hardest working people I have ever met in my entire 39 years. How would I describe this man? He is a hardworker, truly humble, intelligent, a listener, man of few words(great gift), a born leader, a heart of gold, thoughtful, well mannered, and the greatest thing about him is that he is always the same no matter who is around him. I truly admire that.
I prayed and God gave me the opportunity to wittness to this man one day and he listened to what I had to say. I said bro you are a leader, God is shaping you and molding you as we speak. Well, for some reason Corey has a hard time believing that. When I first met him he was really shy as well, one day he told me people make him nervous. We were eating lunch together one day and our boss walked by and I said Mike, is it cool to tell someone to do something if they aren’t willing. He said yes, I like when people take the iniative to step up and take control of the situation. I said good to know. Mike went on to give an example, he used Corey. He said I put you with this person because you make them work faster right, and Corey shook his head yes. Mike went on to say it’s because you are a leader, and he walked away. I said see bro, even our boss knows this about you and he isn’t around you near as much as I am. He verified that Corey is a leader, and that is a true blessing.
I asked Corey if he would like to come to SPIRIT Ministries on a Wednesday night and he said yes. The other day I asked him if it would be cool to share what God has done in his life since I met him because it is a great testimony on how God can take away the fear of shyness. Corey is a walking Miracle. All I can say is that God has delivered him friends, he now has a voice and it is a true honor getting to know this man because he has a lot to share. He has opened up his heart because God has brought understanding to it. He knows who and who he can not trust because God has given him discernmanship. Just to see him blossom is beautiful, it’s like he knows that he is someone, and it is true, he is a child of God. I was blessed the other day when he said he is no longer nervous around other people, that is wonderful, and it is only God who can take that away. I do not care how much effort a person puts in it, they will fall short. Corey, I commend you brother, God is doing great things in your life and I know you made the right decision about sharing your testimony because it may bring hope, and inspiration to another person who suffers from the same fear. That is confidense brother, and I am so happy for you bro, you are worthy to the fullest. May the good Lord continue to bless you beyond your understanding. Thank you.
