Welcome back to Spirit Ministries ladies and gentlemen. I thank God, and I thank all of you for the encouragement, the positive-feedback, and the inspiration you have brought to my life. I have been blessed beyond my understanding. Furthermore, I pray that the words that I am about to pen will penetrate your heart with inspiration, and understanding. I Michael, give all glory to God.
The last newsletter I wrote was about Romans Road to Salvation. The Scriptures I used to illustrate this included
They illustrate why Jesus Christ died on the cross. We are all made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Myself, I can’t think of one person so good that they don’t need God, and none of us are so bad that we are beyond the reach of God’s loving grace. Jesus Christ has declared us not guilty and set us free from God’s anger. Salvation is freely given, but it was expensively purchased by God. It is imperative to know that God deals with all people in the same manner. It doesn’t matter if you are the poorest or the richest person in the world. It is a fact that no one can earn God’s acceptance, we must come to him through faith and trust.
Faith brings joy. Romans 5:1-Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Now that is Good news people.
This week I would like to share a miracle with you. While I was still in Lansing prison back in 2008 I humbly went before the Lord and asked him if he could bring my family back together. I can say that God has been working earnestly when it comes to this particular aspect of my life. When we pray God expects us to believe that he hears our cry, and that he will give us what we are asking for as long as it is his will.
I would like to bring James 1:6-8 to light-But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can’t make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do
When I was a little boy me and my first cousin Cindy on my mother’s side use to play outdoors all of the time. We’d make mud pies, play in the water, play with the puppy dogs, and kick the ball around all afternoon. Those are some of my greatest childhood memories. We did this all the way up until I was eight, and she was seven. I couldn’t tell you what happened because still to this day I don’t know all of the facts and I don’t care to. I just remember that one day she was their and the next day she was gone. I asked many questions but no one seemed to eager to tell me what the deal was. However, my heart told me that I missed her.
As I got older I heard some things through the grapevine but I didn’t make any judgements because I didn’t know the facts. Still to this day I don’t because it’s not my spot to do so, and I now know that everything happens for a reason. One night while laying on my bunk I asked the Lord to bring her back into my life. I asked once and since then I have just been waiting for him to answer. Praise God!
I have been out of prison for almost a year now and the other night I was in Wal-Mart doing some grocery shopping. I was walking down the aisle when I spotted a man who I went to high school with. I had heard that my cousin Cindy had married this man. Sure enough, as I approached them there she stood on the other side of him. Can you believe that? After 31 years there she was right before me. All I could do is say thank you Lord, thank you. We had an interesting conversation and at the end I gave them one of my Spirit Ministry cards and invited them to join anytime.
My Spiritual group is on Wednesday nights at seven. I got off work at six thirty, went home and took a shower. I came out of the bathroom and people were already seated. I seen another car pull up in front of the house and there she was. I was elated, she came to the group and she got to see some of her other cousins as well, my sister Deanna. It was a true blessing from above. That was God ladies and gentlemen. We had a really good group that night and I look forward to getting to know my cousin again. Cindy, I am so glad that the Lord brought you back into our lives. I hope we are given the opportunity to get to know one another again. God bless you girl. Praise God!
God is good and he is always at work, I encourage you to share some of the things that God has done in your life with your family and friends. You never know when your experience by God can bring hope, inspiration, or re-assurance to someone’s life at the perfect time. Romans 1:12-I’m eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the other.
Father God we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ who shed his blood on the cross for all of our sins. We come to you with a repentant heart and ask you for your forgiveness. Father, I thank you for all of the blessings that you have bestowed upon us at this time. I thank you for all of the opportunities that you have brought to our lives to share our experiences with one another. Father I pray that you continue to give me the inspiration, the motivation, the courage, the guidance and direction, the wisdom, the patience, the perseverance, and the strength to continue your work. I pray that you raise all of us up for your glory and your honor. I pray that you continue to protect, provide for, shower your blessings, and shine your wonderful light on all of my brothers in the prison, all my Christian brothers and sisters, friends and family, Lansing staff and administration, Fashions Inc., and all of the children of the world. I pray in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, amen.
God bless you all!
