Inspired by: God
Welcome back to Spirit Ministries ladies, and gentlemen. I would like to thank you for all of your support along with the encouragement that you have given me to continue this journey. I am stepping out in faith without doubt. The love in my heart these days is truly overwhelming because I have never experienced anything so wonderful. That type of love is the love of Jesus Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. I pray that each and everyone of you experience the love of Christ. God willing, may these words bring some type of courage, and inspiration to your heart.
The message from my last newsletter was about asking the Lord for direction, and to not worry about anything, but to pray about everything, and just thanking the Lord for what he has done for you. God willing, if you were to look up PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 you would gain a greater understanding. I encourage you to do that for what God has in store for you is greater than anything this world has to offer you. Praise God! When we grasp this understanding in the body of Christ we become available to use our talents, along with our gifts to help other people. Just like the Word of God is living, I am a living example of how God shaped me, and molded me for his purpose as apposed to my own agenda. I have been blessed abundantly since I humbled myself before our living God.
Have you ever felt like you don’t deserve the forgiveness that God has to offer? I know I have. Before I had the courage to reach out and ask the Lord for help my self-worth, or self-esteem if you will was nonexistant. I had a few people tell me that there is something greater out their, but I didn’t think I deserved it because of all the bad things that I have done in my life. Because God created us all in his image, I believe that we all have experienced this emotion at some point in our life. For example, what does the rich and the poor have in common? God created them both, in other words, it is man who brings glory to himself for what he has accomplished in life, in God’s eyes we are the same. No one is better, and no one is worse.
That is why I would like to share 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18-31. This is also known as the Wisdom of God. I met a young man named Quinton back in January. When I first met him I saw myself before I found the Lord. Quinton is a perfect example of how the Lord can perform a miracle in our lives. It has been almost nine months since the Lord began ministering his wisdom to Quinton, and I will tell you that he is a walking talking miracle. You can see the glimmer in his eyes, and you can see the peace in his heart. This man has more joy in his heart than you can imagine. Quinton, as your friend I would like to let you know that I am truly happy for your newfound joy in the love of Jesus Christ. I know it took courage to step up to the plate the way you have, but God is using you man, you are now alive, and that is so wonderful. God bless you Quinton, and may the Lord continue to shine his wonderful light through you for his glory and honor.
Gods Wisdom–1 CORINTHIANS 1:18-31– I know very well how foolish the message of the cross sounds to those who are on the road to destruction. But we who are being saved recognize the message as the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy human wisdom and discard their most brilliant ideas.”
So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made them all look foolish and has shown their wisdom to be useless nonsense. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never find him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save all who believe. God’s way seems foolish to the Jews because they want a sign from heaven to prove it is true. And it is foolish to the Greeks because they believe only what agrees with their wisdom. So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense. But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the mighty power of God and the wonderful wisdom of God. This “foolish” plan of God is far wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is far stronger than the greatest of human strength.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God deliberatly chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things depised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. As the Scriptures say, “The person who wishes to boast should boast only of what the Lord has done.”
Many of the Corinthian believers followed human wisdom of the day, which in turn brought question to the idea of Salvation through Jesus Christ. Still today many people think that is to simple. Think about it, how can God forgive us for what Christ did on the cross. Many of us may feel that we have to do something, or even know something special to be saved. The Goodnews is that you don’t, just simply believe and you will receive Salvation. As a human being we tend to rely on our own wisdom which makes us think way too complex. More often than not the answer is right in front of you, we prevent ourself from seeing it because we rely on our own understanding instead of God’s. All we need to receive God’s power and forgiveness is a willing heart. When we turn our life over to God, which is far greater than you can ever imagine, we accept his way-the way of the cross. It is only after you find the courage to do this will you experience the power he alone has to offer you.
Thankyou Lord for your Son Jesus Christ who shed his blood on the cross for all of our sins. I come to you with a repentant heart and ask you humbly for your forgiveness. Lord, I pray that you continue to give us the strength, the courage, the inspiration, the humility, your guidance, and your wisdom in our lives. I ask that you continue to protect, provide for, shower your blessings, and shine your wonderful light upon all of the readers of Spirit Ministries, all my Christian brothers and sisters, all of those in prison, all my family and friends, and all of the children of the world. I pray that you continue to give Chelsea the strength she needs right now along with understanding, I ask that you continue to surround Haley with your warring angels, I ask that you help Elizabeth and Raisa get their store ready, bless them Father. I ask that you continue to give me direction, and I pray that you provide what I need to get my vehicle on the road. Continue to lift up my treatment group, and my therapist, and Father I just put it all in your hands. Lord, I pray that you reach down and soften the heart of Trisha for your glory. I give you all glory Father God. I pray in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen. God bless.
