Hello world – Direction

S.P.I.R.I.T MINISTRIES

Inspired by: God

Welcome back to Spirit Ministries ladies and gentleman. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for the positive feedback that you sent my direction this last week. I consider that a true blessing from above. I would like to share some of the work that God has performed in my life the last couple of weeks. I pray that this issue brings hope, inspiration, and direction to your lives. At the same time I hope these words give you the ability to recognize the prescense of the Lord as you go about your day.

I met a young man behind the walls in Lansing penitentiary in one of my treatment classes, he was a practicing Muslim. He so much reminded me of myself before the Lord revealed himself in my life when my father passed away, God rest his soul. He was so angry at the world and had a wall built completely around his broken heart. God gave me the ability to see right through the facade that he attempted to isolate himself with.

We spoke on occasion and I had the opportunity to share some of the storms that God allowed me to go through. I thank God to this day because the words the Lord spoke through me sparked a light in this young man, they made his aching heart curious. He soon began to assault me with an arsenal of questions. True blessing, God provided me with the wisdom to answer all of his inquiries. It was a beautiful experience to see the miracle that God was performing in this young mans life. This is a perfect example of how truly powerful The Word of God is, it can penaetrate the darkest places in this world as we know it. I will let you know that prison is a pretty dark place to spend any amount of time in.

I remember sharing this scripture withe him from the New Testament. Philippians 4:13-For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. When the opportunity was presented I told this young man that I truly admired his new found courage and humility in Jesus Christ. I also told him that it is imperative to know that Christ is the one who gives us the strength we need and that with God, nothing is impossible.

It wasn’t long after this day that I was sitting in the chow hall with a few of my friends when the same young man approached me with a smile upon his face that lit up the entire room. He shook my hand and asked if he could sit down with us and I said sure, go ahead. He looked me right in the eyes and said Michael I need a Bible, could you provide me with one? I just smiled and said of course, I’ll send one to your cell house. He looked at me and said why aren’t you laughing? I said why would I laugh? He said because I asked you for a Bible. I said that is nothing to laugh about, that is good news. He said thankyou bro and began to walk away. I said hey kid, it only gets better. He just smiled and drifted off into the crowd. That was God’s work and it brought joy to my heart.

Philippians 4:6-7-Don’t worry about anything; isstead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

I am sharing this scripture with you so that you may see that true happiness, peace, and joy in our hearts can be found in every situation of life as long as we recognize that God is at work and always in control. As humans we can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. You can make a list for everyday of your life, however, you may not fulfill that list all of the time simply because God is in control, not us.

I soon lost contact with this young man never to see him again until last week. I would be about my business when someone would bring up his name and mention how much he has changed. I would just smile and continue to do what I was doing. This young man is from Topeka and last week I had to travel to the capitol for a treatment session. I was driving down Topeka Boulevard by the State Parole Building and I saw this young man standing in front of the bus stop. I had to double take because he looked extremely familiar. Then it dawned on me that it was him so I said what’s up son. I’m the only one who called him son so he knew it was me. I stopped and we visited for approximately thirty minutes or so.

This was God’s perfect timing because he was discouraged to the point of doing something that would send him back to prison. I told him I was just thinking about him the other day wondering how he was doing. The conversation went very well and I seen his spirit shine through just like before. He shook my hand and walked away. That was God’s perfect timing, that is how he works. Everything happens for a reason and it is beyond our understanding, it is for the glory of God. I give God all glory and I humbly thank him for bringing us together when he did.

Romans 8:28-And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. It is important that you know that Christ died on the cross for all of our sins. We must be able to accept the love that he has to offer us and know that we are worthy at the same time. The love of Jesus Christ made this all possible.

I will end this in a word of prayer. Thankyou Lord for your son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for all of our sins. We come to you with a repentant heart and ask you for forgiveness of our transgressions. Continue to mold us to your likeness and give us the ability to lead by your perfect, loving example. I pray that your continue to protect, provide for, shower your blessings, allow a provision, and shine your wonderful light upon all of my readers, my family, my friends, all of my brothers in prison, the staff and administration of LCF, and all the children of the world. I ask that you continue to give me the wisdom, the inspiration, the strength, patience, perserverence, motivation, taxable employment, and direction in my life. I pray that you raise Spirit Ministry and my book Rock Bottom up as high as you allow, I put all of this in your hands Father and I give you all glory for my success. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

God bless you all,

Michael Teter
